You all know that Zilliqa’s always been a powerfully people-driven force. Whether it is a bull or bear market, that fact does not change. It is, in fact, crucial to bring in new experts at the right time, so that we can open our business and platform upto various skillets, ideas and keep thriving. With our ecosystem having flourished for the last two quarters, we’ve brought in some new blood to help us realise our potential with more #Zilocity — be it for technology, the creator economy or DeFi.
Say hello to our seven new team members!
On the marketing corner, we’ve got Sandra Helou, Amaan Hussain and Kenneth Tan.
Having started off his Zilliqa stint as an intern, Amaan Hussain joins us full-time as a Product Designer. He brings 4 years’ experience in visual creation to this role, and we have no doubt that his design-oriented thinking will be a great value-add to the marketing team’s storytelling efforts! Passionate about photography, art, film-making and music, Amaan recently graduated with a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from LNMIIT Jaipur in India.
Let us also give a warm welcome to Sandra H, who joins us as our NFT & Metaverse Futurist. With in-depth knowledge spanning across traditional and digital platforms, she will help build out our NFT offerings from the partnerships, strategy, marketing and conceptualisation perspectives. Her global experience across Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East will help her deliver a customised suite of NFT products to our global community (and new audiences!). Over the next year, Sandra will work on enriching our creator economy, tokenisation solutions, and lead the taking-to-market of our recently announced creator fund. Follow her on @sandra_tlibe for more updates in this space!
A big ‘welcome back’ to Kenneth Tan as well! Kenneth was an intern at Zilliqa for a four month stint earlier this year. Now armed with a BSc in Marketing and a minor in Analytics from the Singapore University of Social Sciences, Kenneth comes back to us full-time as a marketing executive, focussing on social media strategy. Being a keen user of DeFi protocols, Kenneth is well-versed with the on-goings of the cryptoverse. With his keen interest in blockchain applications, protocol mechanism designs and familiarity with SEO and social media, he will be a great addition — helping our team tell stories and driving our narrative globally.
Let’s move to the Platform Team …
Alvin Tan is a Core Developer working on the protocol. His previous experience includes making game-engines, developing backend and cybersecurity services and developing software services products. We’re thrilled Alvin brings this vast technology experience across multiple domains to Zilliqa! Alvin earned a degree in Computer Science Degree from the DigiPen Institute of Technology Singapore.
Sunny Teo joins us as a core developer. As part of his role, he designs and manages the platform’s infrastructure. Sunny is well-versed with software development and security, and is passionate about driving mainstream crypto adoption. Like his colleague Alvin, he is also a Computer Science and Real-Time Interactive Simulation graduate from DigiPen in Singapore.
Charlie Chong is our new DevOps Engineer. Skilled in Kubernetes and AWS, Charlie brings over 4 years’ experience as a technologist to his role at Zilliqa. He will be working with the core developers to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery. He holds a BSc in Information Systems from Singapore Management University.
Last but not the least: ComTech!
Shi Qi Lim joins as Product Manager. Prior to joining Zilliqa, she was a product manager in a Platform-as-a-Service company owning assets, campaigns and apps. She also had stints in sales and marketing, product launches and strategy development. With 5+ years experience in product and account management across high-growth technology companies, Shi Qi will be a perfect person to grow our business and revenue-based BaaS products. Shi Qi earned her International Business degree from the University of Birmingham, UK.
Welcome to the Zilliqa family all. We have no doubt that you will be instrumental to the BUIDling and bolstering of everything we represent and hope to achieve.
<For more on our vision, make sure you tune in to ZIL4 on 30 July!>
