Vlad Totia appointed Research Analyst as Zilliqa builds out R&D capabilities for data-driven growth strategy

In a move to better understand market trends, gaps and opportunities, Zilliqa is building out its R&D capabilities to source and model primary data. Eventually, our goal is to use such data to fuel growth and strategically allocate funding (via vehicles like ZILHive and Zilliqa Capital) within our DeFi and ecosystem landscape such that it builds network activity and creates dApps that are useful to all.

Vlad Totia, who joins us today as Research Analyst, will be managing this project. In this role, Vlad will be studying the rapidly evolving, dynamic blockchain ecosystem to understand key existing and emerging projects, trends (including those in L1, DeFi, NFT, gaming and Metaverse space), and personalities. Vlad will also be working closely with the marketing team to help elevate our brand’s thought leadership and visibility across institutional and retail investors — playing a key role in shaping Zilliqa’s commercialisation and go-to market strategies.

Vlad has been active in crypto for over 7 years now, and is an avid believer of DeFi and disintermediation. In his previous role at Thomas Murray, he contributed to building digital asset research products such as educational content strategy, branding, extensive research reports and data analytics. Thanks to previous stints with Global Data and SWIFT, he also holds extensive experience in financial services, payments, fintech, and trading. Originally from Romania, Vlad earned law degrees from the Université Paris Nanterre and Università di Bologna.
