We are nearing the completion of Zilliqa version 5.1.0, which brings another substantial set of improvements and bug fixes to our core protocol. A more complete description of this release should be out soon.

We are two weeks into Zilliqa version 5.0.0, and so far the major update is working smoothly and as expected.

We are happy to announce that our upgrade of the Zilliqa network to Version 5.0.0 is now complete. The upgrade, which has taken roughly three months, will significantly improve smart contracts execution and transaction processing in our blockchain.

Following our earlier update on the upgrades being planned to enhance mainnet and smart contracts functionality, we would like to share a bit more about what the teams are working on implementing by 15 September.

Recently, we experienced an all-time high on number of smart contract transactions on our blockchain as Unstoppable Domains went live on July 9th, 2019 receiving overwhelming demand from the community.

After addressing the operation of the Lookup nodes in several of our more recent releases, the core tech team is now turning its focus to improving the efficiency and robustness of the operation of the mainnet.

Further to references in our previous tech updates, the core tech team has finally completed and rolled out Zilliqa version 4.7.0. This version brings with it several improvements and bug fixes. Below, we highlight the more notable ones.

The core team released Zilliqa version 4.6.3 two weeks ago, which introduces changes made specifically for Lookup and Seed nodes.
