Zilliqa today announces that as part of a leadership transition following the recent departure of Matt Dyer as CEO, Alexander Zahnd has been appointed as interim CEO of the organisation.
Alex has served for three years as Chief Financial Officer at Zilliqa and is suitably placed to oversee this interim phase of Zilliqa’s operations as it transitions to a more flexible and performant network with the upcoming migration to Zilliqa 2.0.
Prior to his departure last month, former CEO Matt Dyer’s contributions to Zilliqa during a pivotal period, including the response to the X-Bridge security incident, were deeply appreciated across the organisation, and the team is grateful for his leadership and commitment.
“As we move forward, I am honored to guide Zilliqa through this interim phase, working closely with our talented team to ensure stability and continued progress as we advance toward the Zilliqa 2.0 upgrade,” said Alexander Zahnd, Zilliqa interim CEO.
“Our focus remains on delivering value to our ecosystem and stakeholders, and we will keep the community updated as we define our long-term leadership strategy. Thank you for your ongoing support.”
Zilliqa’s primary focus remains the successful delivery of the enhanced Zilliqa 2.0 network, in line with our updated roadmap and development timeline.
The Zilliqa technology team, led by Zoltan Fazekas, is working diligently to ensure a smooth and secure migration to the new and improved network.
Regular updates on protocol development and testing will continue to be shared with the community.
Zilliqa remains committed to transparency, stability, and long-term value creation for our stakeholders. Thank you for your continued support as we enter this next phase of Zilliqa’s journey.
